Beach day with family..

time with your family. A lake day is all you need to get a break from your monotonous routine and bond

Dressing and Packing
The first task to take care of when you’re going out is to assemble a killer outfit that suits the venue. A
day at the lake is supposed to be casual, light, and fun, so your attire must reflect these three
characteristics. A cotton tee or tank top paired with a summer jacket, shorts, and flip flops would be
ideal. You could also opt for a laidback sun dress if that’s your style. Wear breathable fabrics that dry off
easily.
Here’s a list of things you should take along to make the best of your lake day with family:

Towels, wipes, and napkins for drying off and cleaning up

Lake Day Activities
You and your family should set off towards the lake at your earliest, preferably at dawn. Set up your
hammocks and settle in; you can also just bring throws or blankets if there are no usable trees nearby.
Bring coffee from home or make it right there. Carry or prepare a hearty breakfast for the family to
enjoy. Start your lake day by taking in the natural landscapes, some bird watching, and relaxing in your
hammock or blanket with a nice book. When the sun is shining bright and it truly feels like morning, let
the lake-side sports begin. Go canoeing or boating if available, or take a dip and encourage family
members to join you.
Let the kids continue with their games while you take a break and prep lunch. If you’re going to grill
something or cook fresh, it’s so much more fun and satisfying that binging ready-made meals. Once
everyone is fed, it’s officially rest time. You can do more exploring and go fishing in the late afternoon.
By sunset, you may set up a small campfire and do story time with family. You can also play verbal &
free-hand games while you toast marshmallows. If you caught fish, grill it fresh and let it be an
unforgettable treat. Start packing up when you’re feeling pleasantly spent and it’s already dusk.
Family friendly beaches..
Michigan has a ample of family friendly beaches within driving distance. Some of my personal favorites are.
Muskegon state park-Lovely dunes and beaches on the lake Michigan
Duck lake– The canal linking Duck Lake with Lake Michigan makes it unique. The cold Lake Michigan and the not so cold Duck lake makes this hidden beauty(Just 15 mins from Muskegon State Park).
Higgins Lake– Best clear water lake, awesome for family grilling and overnight camping.

Do not forget to take loads of pictures to preserve these beautiful memories, which will compel you to
return someday soon. Keep the lake and its surroundings clean by abstaining from littering, and cleaning
up before you go. Dispose all garbage properly in trash bags, and place them in a designated container
or area away from the water. Respect your state laws regarding boating, fishing, and engaging in other
water borne activities by the lake, so that you don’t need to hire a criminal defense attorney the next
